2008 has seen Finnegan's Golf Society go from strength to strength. Yet another rip-roaring success for Finnegan's Golf Society. Along with the usual shenanigans, the Christmas episode involved a rather eye-watering array of fancy dress outfits. Some were inspired, others downright bizarre (you know who you are Mr Woods) - catch the day as it unfolded here

Well, what can I say?! It was a fantastic day and anyone who wasn't there should really feel they missed out.

The day kicked off (or should I say 'tee'd off?) at about 5.30am with a beer - or 3 - in Finnegan's, and that is when the drama began. Before it was even light there were trips to the police station to collect bags left in taxis and Gerry got very irate with the mini-bus driver who took us to the wrong golf course; but when we finally arrived it all fell into place.

The 'hole' event was organised with military precision with absolutely no group swapping allowed, despite tears and cries of "but we always play together!" from certain un-named patrons (you know who you are!). Teams tee'd off almost on time and the day went swimmingly from there.

To conclude, the day was such a rip-roaring success that I'm sure the next Finnegan's Golf event will not be far away.
